Hello Sport Tom Birmingham is the son of the famous impersonator Billy Birmingham.

Though the father-son duo do not mention each other much, there have been hints about their relationship here and there on Tom's podcast.

Tom and Billy aren't the cases of people sharing the same last name, they do have a blood relation, and that is also a very close one.

Tom might have gained notoriety recently, but his father has remained in the public limelight for more than three decades.

Tom Birmingham, 32, the co-host of the podcast Hello Sport, gained notoriety in 2020 after he and Edward Simpson interviewed NRL legend Anthony Watmough.

The episode went viral as Anthony didn't have many kind words to say about his ex-teammate  Daly Cherry-Evans.

Is Billy Birmingham Son Tom Birmingham From Hello Sport?

Billy Birmingham son is none other than Tom Birmingham from Hello Sport.

Billy Birmingham came into the spotlight in the mid-80s from his comedy series The Twelfth Man. The craze for the Aussie man began as he started his near-to-perfect impersonation of Australian commentators and journalists.

But before his show Twelfth Man began, Billy's pun-laden song Australiana sung by Austen Tayshus, gained enormous notoriety. The song went no.1 immediately upon release and maintain its position for eight consecutive weeks.

Being the son of one of the famous impersonators of Australia certainly comes with its advantage. But Tom didn't want to use his father's name for his success.

Tom is one of the co-hosts of the podcast Hello Sport. He has his long-time friend Eddy beside him as the two friends talk about Australia's favorite pass time.

At one point, Hello Sport only had 30 people tuning in to their podcast. But that interview with NRL star Anthony Watmough changed it all for them.

Though he shares a contentious relationship with Richie Benaud, the comedian says that Richie is his favourite impersonation and is also one of the most famous ones.
